When i went to have the car tuned it was clear that there were a few issues with the manifold not seating properly so i took it off and had the face machined flat and while i was there i thought it would be a good idea to get the manifold painted at the same time.
I was going to just get a can of high temp paint and do it but as usual, after a bit of reading up on the best paint i came across quite a few reviews for POR15 High Temp Heat-Resistant Paint that were very positive so i thought i would give that a try. They do a spray can but as i have the compressor i thought it would be best to get a tin and do it properly.
so once all the rain had finally stopped and we had some sunshine i gave the manifold two good coats with a brush, then used 3/4 of a tine and give it as may cots as i could with the spray gun.
its look good and hopefully, it will be nice and sturdy and not peel off!
I’m leaving it in the sun lounge in the sun for a week so it gets a nice baking in the sun, then i will get it all bolted on and hopefully no more leaks!!
