After a slight mishap, where i buggered up the bottom oil control ring on the new piston 🙁 which has set me back £50 and two weeks while i found a new set of rings! the bottom part of the engine is now in the car 🙂 Jan at http://www.zymo-tech.de/ found me a new set of rings in super quick time and they arrived on tuesday (my day off) and the sun was out. So very carefully i replaced the broken ring and got the piston in. new con rod shells in and engine ready to go into the car. Im still waiting for a new timing chain and a few other little bits to come from Wana part where scott has sourced some bits from germany at a very good price, so lets see what they are like when they get here at the end of the week. Most bits a made by http://www.febi-parts.com/ who seems to do a lot of vaux/opel replacement parts so lets hope they are good!

Some pictures of the engine to follow next week when i hope to get the timing chain and front cover on and the new flywheel and clutch all bolted up and ready for the head which im just painting up and lapping in the valve seats 🙂
